Seven Pounds

Who's in it: Will Smith, Rosario Dawson

What's it about: Ben(Smith) has a dark secret. He has been trying to redeem himself from it for a long time. He plans to commit suicide but wants to make sure that he has left his mark on the world. He goes around meeting people as a IRS agent. He meets Emily(Dawson) who is suffering from congenial heart failure. He falls in love with her and when he does his life starts to fall apart. He feels as though his world is caving in on him and he is leaving his mark on the world and on the people that he left behind.

What I Think: Will Smith is one of the best actors ever. He looks great and can really bring out the emotions that a movie needs. The movie was a tearjerker. Dawson did an amazing job as well. She was beautiful and pitiful at the same time. Even with such a limited main cast, I thought that the movie was a hit. With the storyline that it had, there was no need for more characters. Mind you the flashbacks got a bit confusing at times. There were two brief scenes with subtitles. Well, I thought that this was an amazing movie and that Will Smith has done it yet again.

Who's in it: Will Smith, Alice Braga

What's it about: A virus has spread across the world and it's up to Dr. Robert Neville(Smith) to fix it. He's the immunity and is trying his hardest to capture the fiends who are infected and treat them. He thinks that he's the only one still alive. When, Anna(Braga) shows up, he is given hope. The demons are still after him though, and he's running out of time.

What I Think: I've heard that this movie was the greatest and I've heard that it's the worst. I must say that it was interesting, but I don't think that it was a great as everyone thought that it was. Smith was amazing playing a doctor. The graphics for the infected persons was awful. I would have thought that we, being of the 21st century, would have had better animators and special effect gurus than that.

Who's in it: Will Smith, Eva Mendes, Kevin James, Amber Valletta

What's it about: Hitch(Smith) is always helping the less fortunate men who can never get a woman to stay. He helps them dress, speak, and just act the way 'every' woman wants. But when Albert(James) wants to get together with the lovely and famous Allegra Cole(Valletta), he tries his hardest. He succeeds with major triumph and then he meets Sara(Mendes). Sara is a columnist. She and Hitch go on a few dates until she finds out that Hitch is the 'date doctor'. She rats him out to the whole city through the newspaper and chaos spreads.

What I Think: This movie was a great movie to watch. I enjoyed the hilarious sides of Smith and James. Mendes did an alright job, but I think that she could've put a little bit more into a Will Smith comedy. Even though the movie in itself is labeled as a romantic comedy, the movie wasn't just all fun and love games. There were some serious parts about it that make you think about life.
