Bride Wars

Bride Wars

Who's in it: Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway

What's it about: Since they were young girls, Liv(Hudson) and Emma(Hathaway) have always wanted to have their weddings at the Plaza in June. When they are both finally engaged, they set up their dates and start to plan. When they find out that there was a bit of confusion and their weddings are both set for the same day, a fight begins. Liv and Emma go from best friends to arch enemies. They try to sabotage the others wedding as much as they can because they want their wedding to be over the top.

What I Think: Hudson and Hathaway were one of the best female duos I think I've ever seen. It was amazing how different they were in personality but how well they connected on screen. The story was great and planned out to the very dot. I am so happy to see Hathaway in this light and I think that it suits her more than in Princess Diaries. Hudson was just the same nutty girl that she is in a lot of movies and I love it. I was so happy in the end but kind of sad at the same time. I love happy endings and my favourite guy won in the end despite the female stars!

My Best Friend's Girl

My Best Friend's Girl

Who's in it: Dane Cook, Kate Hudson, Jason Biggs

What's it about: Tank(Cook) and Dustin(Biggs) are best friends. Dustin works in an office with the love of his life, Alexis(Hudson). Tank works with a communications business. His side job is being paid to take an ex-girlfriend on the worst date ever so that the ex-boyfriend looks good and the couple get back together. Dustin asks Tank to take Alexis out, but when he does, he falls in love. The two begin to see each other and when Dustin finds out, Tank has to decide whether to choose bros before hoes.

What I Think: Huge fan of Dane Cook! It was as if the role of Tank was written for Cook. He did so perfectly and, being the comedian he is, made everything funnier with his personality. Biggs does a wonderful nervous man in love. I loved the role of Hudson. I really do enjoy watching her in any movie. She has a way of making it funny, romantic, and serious all at the same time. I thought that the story was hilarious, the acting was monumentally good. I wasn't happy with the strip club, but hey... that's what America is these days.
